The new Hikvision AcuSeek NVR is a network recorder that uses advanced AI technology and a large multimodal model to make video retrieval much easier and faster. Instead of searching through fixed filters or manually rewinding, users can use a simple text description to specify what they want to see, such as a person with a blue coat, a white van or a child with a backpack. The system understands such natural language commands and searches through the recorded video footage at lightning speed.
AcuSeek's strength lies in four pillars. The system searches broadly, because it can recognize less obvious objects or anomalous situations in addition to people and vehicles. It searches accurately, because complex descriptions with multiple details are well understood and false positives are reduced. It also works almost instantly, so results are visible in seconds, even with large amounts of data. In doing so, it is flexible: users can search with fixed choices such as "persons," "vehicles" or "animals," as well as formulate entirely custom searches, and in multiple languages.
The NVR is designed for a variety of applications, from classic security purposes and traffic management to public safety and community services. With support for high resolutions up to 32 megapixels, multiple video outputs including 4K HDMI, powerful decoding and space for multiple hard drives, the system is suitable for both small and large installations.
