Wireless Magnetic Contact
The JA-183M detector is a part of the Jablotron 100 series alarm system. It provides detection of the opening of a door, window and the like. The detector communicates wirelessly and is powered from a battery.
Installation
The product must be installed by a trained technician with valid Jablotron certification.
Choose a suitable location for installation. The detector responds to distance magnification of the magnet. The transmitter part is mounted on the fixed part of door (window) and the magnet on the moving part. Avoid placement directly on metal parts (they negatively affect the operation of the magnetic sensor and radio communication).
1. Open the detector screen (by pressing the drop-in clamp, see Figure 1).

2. Screw the plastic back panel to the fixed part of door (window). Markings A,B on this back panel indicate the location of the magnet (Figure 3).

3. Screw the magnet to the moving part of door (window). Place the magnet in the plastic case with the center of the case against the A arrow, the ring magnet should be opposite the B arrow. The distance of the magnet from the transmitting part should be as short as possible when the door is closed. The distance for activation with distance magnification of the magnet across all axes and for non-magnetic / magnetic mounting substrate are shown in Figures 5 and 6. Note: For the height adjustment of the A magnet, use the provided sole plate.

4. Teach the detector into the central unit (receiver). Follow the manual of the central unit (receiver). The learning signal is sent at the time of battery connection. Note: If you learn the detector in the receiver after the battery was already connected, as first disconnect it, then press and release the screen contact (the residual energy is used up) and only then perform the learning mode.
5. Set the functions of the detector - see Setting
6. Place the transmitting part on the plastic backplate and snap it in.
7. Test if the detector works reliably.
8. The drop-in clamp can be locked with the supplied screw (Figure 2).
Setting
Pass-through INS / DEL (Error! Source from left not found.) determines whether the detector is on the access path to the house and provides an exit and entry delay = position DEL. Conversely, position INS means an immediate response from the system. Note: This setting is only meaningful when used with the Jablotron central unit with set reaction NATUR. If a different reaction is set in the detector central unit, or you are using the detector with a JA-182N or JA-180N receiver, the setting of the switch no meaning.
The detector has two modes of operation, indicated by one or two flashes of the signal light when the battery is inserted.
One flash means that the detector reports opening and closing to the system. This allows the status of the window or door to be tracked. Two flashes mean the detector responds only when opening (distance magnification of the magnet).
You switch the mode by pressing and holding the protective contact switch on the screen, inserting the battery and releasing the switch 3-5 seconds after inserting the battery. The detector then flashes once or twice, depending on the mode just selected.
Detector testing
For 15 minutes after the screen is closed, the detector indicates activation by means of the signal light. In service mode, the control center can check the detector signal, including measuring the signal quality.
Replace battery in detector
The system monitors the battery status and as soon as it begins to run low, informs the user (possibly also the service technician) via system communicator. The detector continues to operate and also indicates each activation with a short flash of the light. We recommend replacing the battery within 2 weeks. The battery is replaced by the technician in service mode. After replacing the battery, test the operation of the detector.
If a weak battery is inserted in the detector, its signal light will flash for about 1 min. After that, the detector will work, but will report a depleted battery
Note: Do not dispose of a spent battery with household waste, dispose of it with chemical waste.
Removing the detector from the system
The system reports any loss of the detector. If you intentionally disassemble the detector, you must also delete it in the control center.

Note: Although this product does not contain harmful materials, do not dispose of it in domestic waste, but dispose of it at the collection point intended for electronic waste.
